Aidan turner confessed how he achieved his actual body shape.

At fist there were common attempts to lose weight with constant calculations of eaten and burnt calories. As it always happens, a blessing in disguise. Once, during filming, Aidan got food poisoning. As a result, he lost a few pounds.

Aidan Turner doesn’t tell how much weight he lost, but he admitted that it was enough to look well without a T-shirt. Actually, we can’t but agree with this.

The only think he shared was that his weight-loss program was really exhausting. He had not only to follow the training circuit, but also control his eating habits.

Aidan told about the most challenging experience.

During the filming of Poldark he was objected eating Cornish pasties. It was like a test for him. Though, it was necessary in order to prevent the actor gaining extra weight. The point was that there were a lot of topless scenes in the film and it was unacceptable to spoil them.

For this reason, Aidan worked very hard in the gym for six weeks. He said, he was killing himself there. He kept his eye on what he was eating and kept a distance from unhealthy food.

Surprisingly, Aidan admitted that if not the role he would never do that for any price. That was unusual experience, and as every person he felt uncomfortable in such severe conditions. All in all, now he’s back to his habitual regime.

It’s still a secret what convinced him to accept the role, but we are very happy that he did it.
