Mya literally came out of nowhere and captured the hearts of her fans at first notes of her songs. Her debut album, released in 1998 was certified as gold, because more than one million copies of it were sold in USA and worldwide. Mýa Marie Harrison was born in Washington DC in the family of musician (father) and accountant (mother). Till now her teachers remember that extremely slim tender girl. She liked art, could sing rather well and was fond of dancing.
Her parents sent their daughter to dancing class; they tried to give Mya the best education. The girl told that she would become a star very soon and her parents just laughed at her ideas. But Mya was ready to do everything to become a star and one day she had left her parents home.
Mya hired her own apartment and asked her dad to record a first demo for her. Soon Mya released her first self titled album.

The star feels sick, if she misses her morning training, that’s why she always gets up 30 minutes earlier. She likes body ballet workouts, yoga workouts and others.
Reasonable eating plan is that very background any woman needs to look young and slim all the time. Mya used to keep to vegan diet, but she dropped it out and now the singer’s ration is full of proteins and simple carbohydrates. Mya eats bagels, oatmeal and pasta from time to time as it helps her to stay active all day long.
